As chronicled previously, I decided a few months ago to tackle this medium platform anew when I found a story that listed 70 publications that nominated stories to be boosted. My strategy was simple and logical. Apply to write for boosting publications in my niche and submit quality pieces with an eye toward what they were looking for.

The effort has met with a small measure of success in that my monthly earnings are way up percentage-wise — but certainly no more than I could earn working a few shifts for DoorDash or McDonald’s.

Probably half of what I’ve earned in the past three months has come courtesy of having four stories boosted — all in what I would call the memoir category. What can I say? When you’re old like me, you can (hopefully) impart a lot of valuable life lessons. And those seem to be the stories that resonate with the powers.

A week ago, I had a piece accepted by one of the platform’s Top Ten publications. And when I say “Top Ten,” I refer to the number of followers. So I was moderately jacked that I might actually earn two figures ($10 or more to clarify). I’d had one previously that netted $12 in the same pub.

I GOT BOOSTED!~
