Re the Rolling Stones: Many years ago, I had a song I'd written recorded by Chubby Checker. It was called "Move It" and Chubby fucked up the vocal big time. The record flopped. But I did get to know Chubby, who toured with the Rolling Sones in the UK when they were starting out. The first time I ever met Chubby he was in his dressing room wearing nothing but a jock strap while entertaining a gross groupie. It was clear the man was packing. His bass player (who became a a longtime friend of mine) told me that in a conversation he had with Chubby about the Rolling Stones, Chubs said "They were dirty little white boys with dirty little white dicks." Thought you'd get a kick out of that.
