Mass murder morons!
What passes for news in this day and age is rarely the news I want to read or watch. Murder and mayhem do nothing for me. And it depresses me that those in control of what information the public receives have decided that this is the type of feature that draws viewers or readers. It speaks to our collective humanity — or lack. You get the idea.
Recently, the media has had a bonanza of murder and mayhem stories as two mass murderers. Sixteen dead bodies for no reason.
Half the country wants Congress to enact strong anti-gun legislation. That should cure the epidemic — at least, in their opinion. I have another idea:
Stop publicizing the name and photo of the mass murderer! It’s not bad enough we’re deluged with the details of the crime. No, we have to see his face, know his name, and discover his background as well.
Let’s say you’re a human being with no hope of ever being anything but a total loser. And you live in a society that worships fame. How do you turn the tables?
Yup! Go out and kill a bunch of people. That is your only shot at fame. It’s your chance to make your mark on the world. Your picture will be on every newscast and in every paper. The world will acknowledge your pain! What do you have to lose? Nothing! Your life is shit…
