Or they won’t. Either way — I’ll live. I thought you were gone, April. I published a couple of long incarceration chapters you might like. I’m sure that as usual, you’ll have a lot of valuable input if you read them.

FYI…I read “makes We Wanna Holler” in its entirety on your recommendation. I have some opinions. One is that he was lucky to serve only 3 years considering his crimes. If I got a year — he should have gotten 100. All those rapes — and stickups. And he shot a guy.

If you read “Bunkytown,” you’ll find out that I had a bunky who shot his competitor — and confessed to beating up white people after watching the film “Mississippi Burning.” But he was almost illiterate — and not a repentant individual. He won’t be writing for the Washington Post anytime soon.

There's also a lot about racism in prison/jail, you might find enlightening.
