I Made Over $3 On Medium Yesterday
So you should take my advice
Approaching how to successfully navigate Medium.com to actually generate some money from writing on the platform is a full time job in and of itself. It’s a course I’ve been pursuing for over a month now. And I have some observations which are worthy of your consideration. After all, not everybody makes $3 a day writing for Medium!
Reading endlessly on how to succeed with Medium has brought me to one conclusion. There are way too many articles on how to succeed. And too many of them offer courses for which you have to pay to access that information. And while some of the advice is excellent, I still wonder: “if you’re doing so well with Medium, why are you hustling your expertise on the side? Aren’t you too busy writing and earning to bother selling?”
I’m reminded of one of those tv real estate salespeople and their course on how to make a million bucks investing in properties. I always wondered about that. As in “hey big shot. Shouldn’t you be out buying a tenement, putting some cheap paint on the walls and then flipping the piece of crap?”
Enough! I’m supposed to be giving advice here. So here goes: How to make $3 a day on Medium: Make sure publications to which you submit are inappropriate for your subject matter. Be sure to insert a lot of typos. And most of all, format your story incorrectly. In that manner, you won’t be published or curated — and nobody will ever discover your brilliance for placing written word on the page. Then write your ass off every day and watch the pennies roll in. You can’t miss.
