How to Monetize Your Boosted Story

Carpe diem when and if it ever happens

I’m on a roll — and it’s all uphill. I’ve published 97 consecutive stories that have not been boosted. I’m sure I’m not alone. And so it goes with aspiring writers.

However, in the over 1000 stories I’ve posted here, a few actually have garnered the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval from the gods.

And what normally happens is they get more views and earn more money than unboosted stories for about two weeks. And then it’s pretty much over. Or is it? Not necessarily.

Fun fact: Not only does a boosted story get more exposure (something everybody knows) — but the reads and views are paid at a much higher rate than unboosted stories. Thus, if if you have two stories (one boosted and the other not boosted) that have both accumulated 100 reads, the boosted story will earn you way more than the other. Like five or ten times more in my experience.

So the idea is simple. You want to get your boosted stories in front of as many eyes as possible even after the two week honeymoon — assuming you want more people to read it and you’d like to maximize your writing income on this platform. Here are two ways to do that:

  1. PIN YOUR BOOSTED STORY TO THE TOP OF YOUR PROFILE
