A Tale of Two Stories
Boosted v. not boosted
Aah! The Boost! The holy grail of medium writers. To have a story boosted is to be knighted by the King. It’s what many of us live for on this platform. Ok! Enough of the drama. I have a life. Getting boosted doesn’t throw me into orgasmic spasms. Maybe just one spasm. I’m too old for that multi stuff!
Analyzing how thrilled I or anybody else gets from being boosted isn’t why I sit here on a rainy day with nothing better to do than contemplate my navel or compare stats on one boosted story versus another that wasn’t. Rather, I share with the reader the differences in financial rewards I’ve reaped from the two stories because the differences are significant.
Because I so dislike writers who brag on their earnings and accomplishments on this platform, I’m not going to divulge the actual numbers these two stories have amassed. I will use percentages for comparison. So here goes:
READS AND VIEWS
The boosted story has only 60% as many views as the unboosted one and a slightly lower read ratio of 75%. The unboosted story has read ratio of 80%. So far, the unboosted piece is kicking ass.
CLAPS
