A Little Vacation Virality

Now I’m back home where I belong

Just what y’all needed: Another meta-medium story that many would title “How My Story Went Viral When Yours Didn’t (Ha) and How You, Too, Can Benefit From My Wisdom!” Oh, joy! Spoiler alert: There is no wisdom in this story. If you’re looking for some, you can stop right here.

For the past five months, I’ve been reasonably diligent in my quest for success on this platform. Which means I actually ante up five bucks every month, post a story every day, and read some of what my fellow wannabes have to say in their articles.

Admittedly, it can get tedious at times, and it certainly doesn’t pay near the minimum wage. But in some measure, it’s a labor of love. (Yeah, right!)

Anyway — last week, I went on vacation — “gone fishing’” both literally and figuratively.

For four days, I did nothing here. No writing, no reading, no checking stats (or hardly checking stats).

When I did finally tune in, I was astonished to see that my views were soaring five-fold. I was in a mild state of shock.
